There was fierce competition from teams representing Sixth Forms across the West Midlands in a battle of wits and general knowledge.  Shannon, Fallon, Charlotte and Sally represented OSH creditably, finishing a strong 18th out of 40 entrants.

Ms. Allport comments: “As their maths teacher, I was pleased to note that they played their joker on the mathematics round, as one of their highest scoring subjects.”

As is essential for morale, mascot Foley Bear, pictured with Shannon and Sally, accompanied them on the trip to Birmingham.  The team even sewed an outfit by hand for the bear, which may be familiar to patrons of the OSH Shop. They even made the scholarly bear a mortarboard to wear so he fitted in well with his prestigious surroundings.
