During the Easter holidays OSH pupils and cousins Seb (Y8) and Lauren (Y9) were lucky enough to spend a day training at the Reliance Foundation National Athletics Centre in Navi Mumbai, India.

They were joined by their siblings, Sophia and Joshua, both of whom are due to join OSH in Year 7 this coming September.

All four were put through their paces by Coach James Hillier, former Great Britain 400m hurdler and current Reliance Foundation Head of Athletics.  The session involved training with a number of international athletes and Olympians, including Indian national record holder for the 100m hurdles, Jyothi Yarraji, as they all prepare for this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Both Seb and Lauren are keen OSH athletes and hope to utilise this incredible experience as they return to school and the summer athletes programme.
