Admissions & fees
Boys attend Old Swinford Hospital either as Boarders, Out Boarders or as Day Students in the Sixth Form, when girls are also admitted.
With the exception of Out Boarders in Year 7 and Sixth Form Day Students in Year 12, admission is non-selective, with no entry exam. Applicants must be entitled to hold a UK or EU passport and are judged only on their suitability to board. The school does not operate a catchment area.
Basic school fees from Tuesday 6 September 2011 are as follows:
Boarding Fee – Years 7-13 £3,375 per term / £10,125 per annum
Out Boarding Fee - Years 7-11 £1,688 per term / £5,064 per annum
Day Student Facilities Fee – Year 12 £159 pa (Michaelmas Term only)
Day Student Facilities Fee – Year 13 £101 pa (Michaelmas Term only)
Day Boarding Fee - Year 12 & 13 £1,688 per term / £5,064 per annum
PLEASE NOTE - There is a new timetable for admission as a Year 7 Out Boarder in September 2013
All applicants for a Year 7 Out Boarding place must complete a school registration form by September 18th 2012. The deadline for a Year 7 Boarding place is November 1st 2012.
A home local authority preference form (CAF), available from your local authority, must also be completed. If you fail to do so your application will be invalid.
