Success for OSH Athletics

June 7th, 2017

Congratulations to the OSH Athletics team on achieving a third place position at the Greater Birmingham Athletics, held at the Norman Green Stadium in Solihull.

Results included a third place finish for the Year 9 team and second place for the Year 10s.

There were also some outstanding individual performances.  Emmanuel Olaleye secured first place in the Year 7 Discus and there were second places for Year 8 pupils Kai Starkey in the 100m and David Ororo in the High Jump.  In Year 9, George Briggs won the 200m and there were second places for Alex Hurrell, Will Kay and Alex Gadd in the 800m, 1500m and Javelin respectively.

Finally, the Year 10s claimed winning titles in four events.  Daniel-Dallas Ororo took both the 100m and Long Jump titles; Courtney Rowe won the 200m and Alfie Price won the Javelin.

Praise must be given to the whole team who not only gave their best efforts, but also conducted themselves superbly throughout the afternoon.
