On Easter Sunday Old Foleyan’s Tom Brash and Will Trimmer booted up to play in a charity Rugby Sevens tournament.
The game was planned by Scrum and Coke, an amateur touring rugby Sevens team, to raise funds for the On Course Foundation. The Foundation aims to support and aid the recovery of wounded, injured and sick service and veteran personnel. Will Trimmer who is currently studying at Oxford Brookes is a founding member of the charity team.
The team played against Salcombe rugby sevens who had ex British Lion Danny Grewcock on their side. They were 7 – 15 down at half time, but were able to come back strongly in second half. The final score was 37 – 15, demonstrating that youth and pace overcame experience and brawn on the day.
Well done to all players.
