Old Swinford Hospital hosted a special day for the grandparents of pupils in Year 7 and 8 at the end of term.
On a glorious summer’s day, grandparents were treated to a personal tour of the School with their grandson, followed by lunch and then enjoyed watching a cricket match on front field.
Commenting on the day, Headmaster Paul Kilbride said “I have thoroughly enjoyed today, our first ever Grandparents’ Day. Most importantly, our boarders have had a chance to show their grandparents around their School and they done this with tremendous pride and enthusiasm. I would like to thank our musicians, cricketers and cream tea makers for adding so much to this wonderful day.”
“This has been a very special day and lovely opportunity for us to learn more about our grandson’s school”, said Mrs Maureen Pritchard. “Since joining OSH, Tom has gained confidence, is achieving academically and loves school life.”
