A charity football match held on Thursday 12th March between OSH staff and OSH leavers provided an exciting end to the afternoon, for a worthwhile cause. Proceeds from the event will go towards purchasing a ‘cold cot’ for Birmingham City Hospital, to help give parents of still-born babies the time and space to grieve. This Interact fundraising initiative was instigated by Sam Martin in Year 13, following a family bereavement.
The hard-fought match kept the crowd enthralled, with OSH staff finally winning 4-3. Mr Paul Kilbride, Headmaster said “it was an electric atmosphere, a bit like a cup final. The traffic on Hagley Road was brought to a standstill by the quality of football taking place. Many thanks to our staff, pupils and Interact for supporting the event.”
