OSH Hosts Primary Sportshall Athletics

February 4th, 2015

Around 100 pupils from local primary schools recently took part in the Primary Sportshall Athletics competition at OSH.

The teams, consisting of six boys and six girls from Years 5 & 6, took part in a variety of field and track events in the OSH sports hall, including sprints, hurdles, shot putt, long jump and speed bounce.

Everyone had a fun packed, energetic afternoon!  The overall winning school Caslon Primary will represent the School Sport Partnership at the Black Country Summer Games on Friday 26th June.

The Primary Sportshall Athletics is one of 35 competitions run throughout the year for primary and secondary schools in Halesowen and Stourbridge, which aim to get more young people than ever before to enjoy the benefits of playing competitive sport.
