Safer Internet Day 2015 is being celebrated globally on 10th February with the slogan ‘Let’s create a better internet together’. With this in mind Old Swinford Hospital invited parents into school for an ‘Internet Safety’ presentation on Thursday 5th February.
Keeping our children safe online is of great importance to us all and the evening was an opportunity for the School to update parents on national trends, appropriate behaviours, current technologies and the difficulties of managing teenagers whose familiarity with the cyber world is often greater than their own.
The presentations, which created lively debate, can be downloaded here …INTERNET SAFETY
Paul Kilbride, Headmaster of Old Swinford Hospital said “the Information Safety Evening was a great opportunity to discuss with parents the importance of communication and appropriate behaviour at a time of rapid technological change. We look forward to our next information evening for parents on Maths and English teaching and learning which we will hold next term.”
