Year 7 pupils enjoyed an afternoon at the Symphony Hall Birmingham where they joined presenter Alasdair Malloy to explore music from Mozart to Harry Potter in a concert devised for Key Stage 3 pupils. They learnt all about orchestras – What sound does a piccolo make? Why is a double bass so huge? Do they really need so many violins?
A selection of the students will be reviewing the concert as part of their Arts Award. Choir members from Year 8 and Year 9 who are doing their Arts Award also attended the concert.
