Politics students at BBC Radio 5 Live Conservative Party Conference Debate

Thirteen Politics students from Year 12 accompanied Mr Hannah to Birmingham on 30th September to take part in a Radio 5 Live debate with several leading Conservative politicians. The debate was broadcast live and included questions on the Economy, Europe, UKIP, the NHS and voting for 16 year olds. The Q¬†and A was lively and vigorous. Leading figures in attendance included former Chief Whip, Andrew Mitchell and Director General of the CBI, John Cridland. Subject leader for Politics, Mr Hannah, commented: “This was a terrific opportunity for the new cohort of Politics students to sample some of the key questions that confront our nation in the run-up to the 2015 election.”
