Chinese New Year was welcomed in with some style at OSH recently. The Dining Hall was decorated with flags, dragons and lanterns to mark the beginning of the Year of the Horse. Mr Teale and the catering team prepared a Chinese lunch on 31st January and around 50 students and staff headed into Birmingham to join the city’s celebrations on Sunday 2nd February. Our now traditional Mah-Jong festival took place in Potter House on 8th February. Overseas Officer, Mr Hannah, commented: “The events this year have been great fun. Our Hong Kong students have enjoyed the chance to celebrate their own culture and students from the UK and elsewhere have really embraced the different activities and enjoyed learning more about Chinese New Year.”
