A record number of 20 participants from OSH’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Club received their Gold Awards at a special presentation ceremony at St James’s Palace.
The event, attended by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, recognised young people across the UK who had completed the DofE programme. Certificates were given out by Professor Howard Williamson (a Hagley boy) who is currently Professor of European Youth Policy at the University of Glamorgan.
OSH’s DofE Manager Simon Plant was also recognised at the ceremony and presented to HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. Mr Plant has been involved with DofE for 33 years and this was the third time he had met HRH Prince Philip. He said, “This was our biggest Gold presentation yet and these young people from our School worked tirelessly through all the sections of the Gold and they can be rightly proud of their incredible achievements.”
Congratulations to: Charles Sterne, Selena Malone, Jennifer Laws, Natasha Perera, Hannah Mantle, Sarah Fletcher, Charlotte Priddy, Georgia Oakley, Isobel Billau, Lia Davies, Molly Clinton, Rhys Williams, Benjamin Duerden, Harry Thynne, Callum Watson, Nathaniel Williams, Olivia Horton, Francesca Perera, Harry Dukes, George Kuligowski.
