Historians Visit Berlin

The fifth annual Berlin trip took place in November as part of the History GCSE and A Level courses.

Thirty-two Year 11 and 12 historians spent a memorable and highly enjoyable five days visiting such places as the Reichstag, Fernsehturm, Victory Column, Checkpoint Charlie, Bandenburg Gate, Berliner Dom, Marx-Engels Forum, the Holocaust Memorial, the remains of the Berlin Wall, together with the Stasi, SS/Gestapo, German History and DDR Museums.

Students also visited Ku’Damm, KaDeWe, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the various Christmas markets, several WWII memorials, together with Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp and the Olympic Stadium.
